Starbreeze / StarVR
My collaboration with Starbreeze consisted in developing a multiplayer VR shooter game, helping other project to be deployed on the Dubai VR center and helping StarVR with tests to develop the StarVR SDK

We also had a great role to make the Dubai VR center opened by doing optimization, porting Vive games to StarVR, Add remote control and scoreboard to the games etc.

Projects
Team Deathmatch Game

My biggest occupation since June 2017 was to work on a VR multiplayer game.
Our challenge was to create a Team Deathmatch game taking place in a big tracking area (17x5 meters)
We designed the area to make player move from their camp to the opponent camp. For that, we're using an objective to find and destroy, allowing players to earn a big amount of points, but taking the risk to be shot by opponents
_____________

I was in charge of the general design of the game (level layout, main mechanics...).
I was also in charge of developping the avatar system, with only 2 tracking informations, HMD and Physic weapon.

Dubai VR Park

Starbreeze opened the biggest arcade VR center in Dubai.

Our job was to optimize games from other studios (or provides advises) in order to make it run fast enough for the StarVR headset which has a bigger resolution than Oculus or Vive headset
.
John Wick Chronicles

John Wick was first developed for HTC Vive, we had to port it on StarVR. We made a great optimization, cut the game to only have 2 levels, that an operator can launch from a tablet. We wanted to have a total control on the player experience.
The Raft

The raft is a cooperation game taking place in a swamp. Players has to takes weapons and kill the threats all along the level and make the biggest score as possible.
Our job was to test the game on StarVR (the developers didn"t have a phasespace tracking space) and to help on optimization.
Ape-X

Ape-X is a shooter game where the player plays a giant futuristic monkey shooting at robots. The player is using real gauntlet as controllers.
We were in charge of testing and validate the game (framerate, mechanics, physical props...)
